JACK & JILL COMPETITION

Dutch International Zouk Congress is a Brazilian Zouk Dance Council (“BZDC”) Registry Event. As such, points are awarded to the winners and place getters (and possibly finalists) of our Jack & Jill Competitions. Jack & Jill competitions are designed to highlight skills in social Brazilian Zouk dancing and the ability to dance well with a variety of partners. Competitors enter as individuals, are randomly assigned partners and dance to music selected by Dutch Intertnational Zouk Congress. Please check BZDC Competitors Guidelines and Rules before entering the competition.

DIVISIONS

Novice category
A person should compete in Novice if they have never competed in Brazilian Zouk Jack & Jill competitions before or have not yet obtained BZDC Intermediate level.

Intermediate category
A person should request to compete in Intermediate if they have obtained BZDC Intermediate level or are invited by the event organisers due to their extensive dance experience in Brazilian Zouk.

Advanced category
A person should request to compete in Advanced if they have obtained BZDC advanced points or are invited by the event organisers due to their extensive dance experience in Brazilian Zouk. To petition up please e-mail info@dutchzouk.nl

Please note: each category will only proceed if 5 or more leaders and 5 or more followers register for the relevant category.

Event entry requirements:

• Please note that to be eligible to compete in the Dutch Zouk Jack & Jill Competition you must have already purchased a Full Pass or Party Pass.

• Enrolments close at 4 PM on Saturday

• Be there @ 6.30 PM in Studio 2 from Studio76

• Get your BIB number J&J at the desk

• Award ceremony: Sunday after finals
